ELDER
recommendation
elders
At Woodland Park, we believe elders are godly men called to shepherd the church under the authority of our Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ (1 Peter 5:4). Scripture provides clear guidance regarding the character and qualifications of elders, particularly in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9. These passages emphasize spiritual maturity, humility, faithfulness, and a life that reflects the gospel in both the church and the home.
As part of our ongoing commitment to spiritual health and faithful leadership, we are inviting the Woodland Park family to participate in a prayerful process of identifying potential future elders. If you know men within our church who demonstrate Christlike character, love for God’s Word, and a heart for shepherding God’s people, we invite you to submit their names for consideration.
Submitting a name is not a nomination and does not guarantee service. Rather, it allows the General Council of Elders to prayerfully discern whom God may be raising up. Men who are identified through this process may be invited into a season of training, evaluation, and discernment for possible future service as elders.
You may submit recommendations by completing the form at the botton below.
Thank you for your continued prayers for our elders and for the spiritual health of Woodland Park. We are grateful to walk together as a church family, seeking God’s wisdom and trusting His leadership among us.
With gratitude,
Brian Kinlaw
