Remember What Is True
In the midst of a crisis we don’t need to learn something new, we need to remember what it true. The writer of Lamentations, Jeremiah, reminded himself of these things when he was in despair:
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:21-23
God’s lovingkindness toward us will never stop. His compassions never fail. He never stops loving us. In fact, they are new every morning! It’s easy—especially in times like these—to focus on the negative and miss what God is doing. Every new day is an opportunity to recognize His lovingkindness, His compassion, and His faithfulness.
So, hang in there! Victory is not found in your great faith, but His great faithfulness.
